Structure of a separator system
Please click here for more information.
Inlet
The wastewater carrying greases, oils, and other contaminants is routed through the inlet into the separator.
Operating chamber
A separator system works according to the gravity principle of physics. The wastewater’s heavy constituents settle as sludge on the tank base, the light contents such as greases and oils float to the surface of the water.
Coalescence unit (optional)
An optional coalescence unit enhances the separator’s efficiency. The small oil drops can collect together. Once enough small oil drops have collected on the coalescence unit, they form there into large oil drops. These rise and can therefore be separated out.
Discharge
Clear water extraction channels the cleaned wastewater into the sewer system.
Universal shaft (sampling point)
Separators can be supplemented with a downstream sampling shaft for taking wastewater samples.
